Luisana Loreley Lopilato (born May 18, 1987) is a well known Argentine actress and model.
Luisana Lopilato is a native of Buenos Aires. She grew up as a believer of the Christian faith and as a fan of the River Plate football team.
Lopilato, who lists Andrea Del Boca and Luis Miguel among her career influences, made her television acting debut at the age of twelve, in 1999. She was chosen to play Luisana Maza in "Tiny Angels", the longest running telenovela in history. By the time that Lopilato joined "Tiny Angels", the soap opera had been on for four years already, breaking a record for a Hispanic soap opera as far as duration. "Tiny Angels" had also become an international hit, which in turn gave Lopilato a chance at becoming known in most of the rest of Latin America as well as in Europe, Asia and some English speaking countries, where "Tiny Angels" was shown dubbed.
In 2001, "Tiny Angels" name changed to "Chiquititas, El Libro de la Vida" ("Chiquititas, The Book of Life"), and Lopilato continued participating in the soap opera. A "Chiquititas" film ("Rincon de Luz" or "Corner Light") followed, allowing Lopilato to debut on the large screen.
2002 proved to be an important year for Lopilato: She continued her acting career as Mia Colucci in "Rebelde Way", and she began her career as a musician, in a group named Erreway. "Erreway" launched a CD that earned Lopilato a golden album award in Argentina.
After touring extensively across Argentina with "Erreway" during 2003, Lopilato once again returned to acting in "Rebelde Way 2nd Temporada". After 2 years of acting in Rebelde Way the soap opera finished but not truly. On 2004 she continued Rebelde Way with the movie Erreway 4 Caminos which was the end of soap opera. This movie showed what happened after Rebelde Way had finished, it showed how their life was and how they were trying to make their dream true of recording a CD. Playing two characters (Kathy and Morena) in 2004's "Los Pensionados" and "Los Secretos de Papa" ("My Father's Secrets"). On that same year she went on a tour with Erreway promoting their 3rd CD called Memoria which was truly recognized and became one of the favorites. She is also known for going out with Felipe Colombo they went out for around 5 years she says and she also said he was his first everything.
Lopilato currently works alongside her brother, actor Dario Lopilato, and Argentine comedian Guillermo Francella, among others, in a comedy show named "Casados con Hijos" (an adaptation of the American TV show Married... with Children). Now on 2005 she is going around with an actor called Mariano Martinez and she is working with him on Alma Pirata, which started on 2006.
